Lobster Romance

For some time now I have researched the lobster and its wondrous nature. There has been a great deal of writing that shows the complexity and connection these incredible creatures hold….and how close they are to us as humans.

Out of intrigue and interest I decided to embark on creating a single image and a serious homage to the magnificent crustaceans. Its somewhat of a romantic endeavour and I also decide to challenge myself in the work with a completely new genre “ hyper realism”.

This combination has been met with 100s of challenging hours and a great deal of contemplation. Every line and stroke was like meditation into the work. It was a romance that the image took me on and ended with pure dedication.

Hence the Title “ Lobster Romance”
